Soil and Groundwater Remediation on at
the City of Los Angeles
An underground tank experienced a significant leak, leading to off-site migration and the formation of a substantial plume beneath several single-family residences. This incident resulted in the contamination of soil and groundwater along the plume's path, as indicated by the orange markings. The plume exhibited a high concentration of hydrocarbon and MTBE, evident in the red coloration.
As illustrated in a 3D graphic, SOIL PACIFIC INC. (SPI) effectively addressed this challenge through a successful remediation effort. This involved the strategic installation of numerous injection probes and several observation wells. Our remedial strategy centered around the application of innovative nanotechnology ORC (oxygen-releasing compounds) through injections. These interventions led to the complete elimination of the plume, showcasing SPI's commitment to cutting-edge solutions in the environmental remediation domain.
